For the most part of the previous week, the US stock market remained practically flat. However, it collapsed on Friday, 9 September. The S&P Index lost more than 2% by the end of the previous week. Investors demonstrated growing concerns that the US Federal Reserve System (FRS) will make the decision to raise the base rate in the nearest future.
