During the previous week, the US stock market worked a shortened week due to the celebration of the Thanksgiving Day on 28 November. On the eve of this holiday, the two leading American indices – S&P 500 and Dow Jones – set new record-highs again. Such an inspiration of American investors was somewhat unexpected, since data published with respect to expectations regarding the sale season that started on the next day after the Thanksgiving Day were rather pessimistic.
