Over the last two trading days of the previous week, markets made a sweeping U-turn breaking the downward trend that reigned on markets.

Stock indices began to grow rapidly on Thursday, 10 October, thanks to the first indications of a possible compromise between Democrats and Republicans in the US regarding the issue of raising the national debt ceiling. US President Barack Obama held meetings with representatives of the Democratic Party in the Senate and leaders of the Republican Party,
where the discussion was focused on the country’s state budget and the ceiling for the national debt.
